Our 'Family Fun Sessions' are packed with hands on craft and science activities to encourage understanding about the rainforest including culture, nature & science. All materials are provided, there are 6 separate activity stations that you can move around at your child's own pace or interest. Each activity will have multiple options to suit different ages/abilities. Younger siblings can attend and still join in several of the activities and enjoy our quiet station - just let us know on booking.

All resources used in the setting are hand created here at fiddlesticks education!
STATION ONE - create a lift the flap rainforest layers poster and have a go at building some rainforest food chains.

STATION TWO - make and decorate an acrobatic sloth puppet from wood, learn about the physics of simple machines and forces.

STATION THREE - discover the different parts of the water cycle and create your own mini water cycle in a bag

STATION FOUR - enjoy magnetic fishing to catch amazon river fish species, learn to identify different species and create a scientific record of your discoveries

STATION FIVE - try out weaving your own bookmark, discover the beauties of the indigenous weaving of South America, test your skill by spinning your own yarn.

STATION SIX - investigate the parts of plants, take a close look at the parts of leaves, look at plant specimens through a microscope and learn about plant cells.

QUIET STATION - at any time during your session you can enjoy our quiet station, with small world play set up, colouring pages, board games and books (all from fiddlesticks education)
Each child will be provided with their own bag to take home their crafts and experiments which will include an exclusive set of fiddlesticks education animal collector cards as well as a free animal sticker to collect from each station.
Fiddlesticks Education Groups are run by myself (Rebecca Brewster), we are fully insured, DBS checked, registered with the ICO, qualified in L3 early years education, trained in paediatric first aid, L2 food safety award, trained in safeguarding children and internet safety. We have comprehensive health and safety and child protection policies in place.
